Why choose Chapman Tours for your private tour? It’s simple we are run by locals and Chapman Tours won the GOLD award for ‘best tour and transport operator’ at the NSW Tourism Association awards in 2024 and finalists in 2025.

  • A private tour with Chapman Tours to the Blue Mountains is special as we are the only tour group that will focus on finding and showing you wild Kangaroos. We know our region and we know where the wild Kangaroos gather but to achieve this we must depart Sydney by 6:30am. If you would love to see a Kangaroo in the wild and get up nice and close to a Koala at the wildlife park, this is the private tour for your group or family.
  • Enjoy breakfast and lunch in the Blue Mountains – foodies love us and this is included in your ticket price!
  • There’s stunning cliff faces and epic waterfalls including the Three Sisters.
  • Visit Scenic World where you get to ride on all three magnificent rides, including the World’s steepest railway. All rides and a guided boardwalk tour is included in your ticket price.
  • There’s Kangaroos and Koalas and hundreds of animals at the Wildlife Park and this is included in your ticket price.
  • We have entertained families, couples, groups, politicians, entertainers and single travelers that just want the privacy of their own vehicle.

Our full day tour rate is based on minimum of 4 people, we still do private tours for less than 4 guests however our full day rate applies. Additional people above our minimum number of 4 will be charged at $395 per person. In most cases we always return to Sydney between 4pm and 4:30pm as we appreciate people have evening plans.

If you have a large group that will be visiting our country you can message us directly on WhatsApp +61 414 011 252 or send us an email bookings@chapmantours.com.au regarding your private tour requests.

We also package together bespoke private tours that can include but not limited to wineries, hiking trails, beyond Skyway, sunrise and sunset experiences, abseiling or regional overnight getaways. Ask our team today!

We look forward to showing you the world heritage listed Blue Mountains but in the meantime you can follow Chapo on his you tube channel chapo down under or follow us on instagram or facebook

No. Our large coach Blue Mountains Day Tour picks up from one location only.

Four Seasons (wait at the rear of the hotel on Harrington Street opposite the convenience store) no later than 7am ready for on-boarding and departure at 7:15am.

NB: Our business is the number one tour group in NSW for a reason and efficiency is a big reason why we won the NSW Tourism Association 2024 GOLD award. It’s important all guests are at the pick up location ahead of scheduled pick up time. If guests are not there on time every effort will be made to reach them however the bus will depart at 7:15am

No however there are ample opportunities for guests to purchase lunch at Scenic World or the Katoomba Kiosk.

A professional Koala photo is at your expense however you are more than welcome to take as many photos with your own camera. There are no professional photos available with Kangaroos however you can take as many as you want with your own camera.

  • Tipping is a personal choice but we say this; if you’ve loved the experience and your tour guide show them by giving them a tip. Thanks in advance!

This is a common question. During the cooler months between May to August we have cool to cold mornings in the Mountains. From September the weather is warming and often we have warm days from September – April. Our summer months are December, January and February. We say it’s always advisable to either bring a jumper/jacket in the cooler months. The warmer months shorts and casual clothing is probably the best advice. Always wear comfortable shoes. Always check the weather online the day before. Search Katoomba and Penrith weather not Sydney.

Unfortunately our our large coaches are not wheelchair compatible however we partner with a very reputable business that specialises in wheelchair transfers. We don’t want anyone missing out on the chance to see the Blue Mountains so if you are fully reliant on a wheelchair email us at bookings@chapmantours.com.au or you can message us on WhatsApp 24/7 on +61 414 011252. Our private Wheelchair tours are available subject to availability.

On our large coach tour YES you can bring your collapsible wheelchairs and prams. Be advised that you CANNOT bring either of these onto the Scenic Railway at Scenic World under the NSW transport act.

Unfortunately Transport for NSW rules clearly state that no food or drinks are permitted on public passenger vehicles. This is health and safety issue. Imagine if there was an accident and everyone had a hot coffee so this rule is commonsense. No guests will be permitted to enter the bus whilst having takeaway drinks. Water only is permitted.

You will arrive in the upper Blue Mountains at 8:45am. Your day will include time at Echo Point and Scenic World. Your departure will be from Scenic World at 1pm. You will arrive at the wildlife park at 2:30pm. Departure from the wildlife park will be 4pm. Arrival back in Sydney at 4:30pm. (Above times are subject to change due to the traffic conditions)
