At Blue Mountains Day Tours we are always bringing people together. Meet Debbie and Michelle who met on our tour to the Blue Mountains. They had 3 things in common. Both were running the Sydney Marathon, both from the United States and both were injured. If not for our tour they wouldn’t have met. They walked that course together, crossing the line in 6 hours and 45 minutes, which is 15 minutes before the scheduled cut off. Congratulations to them both for achieving what seemed impossible. The running community is long gone from the Sydney Marathon, the roads are back to normal, but the stories will never leave.
Both girls are now back in America after making new friends and thanks to that chance meeting on our Blue Mountains Day Tour they will be friends forever. They have since commented on our social media paying tribute to our Blue Mountains Day Tour.
Oh and with 35,000 runners I managed to meet them both out on the course. Cary (Michelle’s husband ran 3:28 then went back to inspire them over the line) 3 legends and thanks for choosing our Blue Mountains Day Tour.
