Yes. Blue Mountains Day Tours knows how important it is to get a magical photo with a Koala and see the beauty of the Kangaroo. A Koala photo is at your expense for a professional photo but if you choose not to have the professional photo, you can take many photos of Koalas with your own camera. Kangaroos will be hopping amongst the guests or lazing around depending on the weather. You can take as many photos with our world famous Kangaroos. There are no professional photos available with Kangaroos only those that you take on your camera.
This is a common question. During the cooler months between May to August we have cool to cold mornings in the Mountains. From September the weather is warming and often we have warm days from September – April. Our summer months are December, January and February. We say it’s always advisable to either bring a jumper/jacket in the cooler months. The warmer months shorts and casual clothing is probably the best advice. Always wear comfortable shoes.
Unfortunately we are not, our Toyota Coaster vehicles nor our large coaches are not wheelchair compatible however we partner with a very reputable business that specialises in wheelchair transfers. We don’t want anyone missing out on the chance to see the Blue Mountains so if you are fully reliant on a wheelchair email us at bookings@chapmantours.com.au or you can message us on WhatsApp 24/7 on +61 414 011252. Our private Wheelchair tours are available subject to availability.
Unfortunately NO for our premium group tours as our Toyota Coasters don’t have the capacity to carry collapsible wheelchairs or prams. If however you book a private tour you will be in our Mercedes Sprinter and YES we can accommodate this request as we have suitable room. If guests arrive at the pick up location expecting to enter the bus with collapsible wheelchairs or prams they will not be permitted to enter. This is a safety issue from Transport for NSW.
Unfortunately Transport for NSW rules clearly state that no food or drinks are permitted on public passenger vehicles. This is health and safety issue. Imagine if there was an accident and everyone had a hot coffee so this rule is commonsense. No guests will be permitted to enter the bus whilst having takeaway drinks. Water only is permitted.

All guests must arrive at the designated pick up location at 7:30am to check in and board our bus. We pride ourselves on departing Sydney on time so we can avoid the influx of other bus companies that will arrive in the Blue Mountains later in the morning. No. Our large coach tour departs from one location only. The address is 98 Harrington Street at the Rocks in Sydney. Wait at the rear of the Four Seasons and opposite the Harrington convenience store.
NB: Our business is the number one tour group in NSW for a reason and efficiency is a big reason why we won the NSW Tourism Association 2024 GOLD award. It’s important all guests are at the pick up location at 7:30am in readiness for our 7:45am departure.

Yes. You receive full access to Scenic World and can explore at your leisure. Your entry includes the worlds steepest railway, the cable way and Skyway. In peak times you need to be mindful of your departure time from Scenic World which is 1pm. Our bus cannot wait after that time. You can see lots of kangaroos and more importantly you can choose to get a photo with a koala. There are many Koalas that you can photograph at the wildlife park however if you choose to have a professional Koala photo with the photography team, this is at your expense. Did you know that this is our number one question. We understand people have evening plans and their time is limited so our goal is to always have guests returning to Sydney between 4pm and 4:30pm. Other tour groups drop their guests at a ferry however often these ferries are late or they have reached their maximum numbers and guests have to wait half an hour for another ferry. That’s not how we want to end our day so we will deliver you back to the rear of the Four Seasons no later than 4.30pm. Out timing is always subject to local traffic conditions.
This is a common question. Our large coach tours operate during our Australian summer and more often than not it is warm so we say dress appropriately. Shorts, casual clothing, comfortable shoes and always bring a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen.
This is a really important question as guests will have their own time at Scenic World to explore. We have allowed enough time for guests to explore Scenic World, enjoy the rides and have lunch. The bus will depart at 1pm sharp from the bus car park which is the exact place you first arrived at. We must depart on time as we need to travel to the wildlife park and allow guests enough time to enjoy this part of their adventure. If guests are not able to be located due to their phones not working unfortunately our bus must depart and it will be guests responsibility to make their way to join the bus at Featherdale. It’s important you manage your time well. We’ve never left anyone so please don’t be the first. Suggestion: order your lunch between 11:45am and 12pm so you can enjoy your lunch then make your way to the bus car park.
This is very important so we have prepared an exact list of times for you. Please screen shot these times so our day can run smoothly.
7:30am: Arrive at the rear of the Four Seasons.
7:45am:
